Arquimea's canarysat launches first satellite in leo constellation
CanarySat, the satellite infrastructure operator based in the Canary Islands and part of the tech company Arquimea, has successfully launched Arqsat-1, the first satellite linked to its Magec constellation designed to provide secure and resilient communications from low Earth orbit (LEO).

Key milestone marks the start of magec's operational phase
The satellite was launched in the early hours of March 29-30 aboard a SpaceX rocket from California, in an operation managed by Arquimea, responsible for the technological development of the satellite.
Arqsat-1 serves as a technological demonstrator of advanced propulsion, a critical capability on which the Magec constellation architecture relies. Its mission will allow for the validation in real-flight conditions of a high-efficiency system aimed at optimizing orbital control and resource use.
During its operation, the satellite will execute specific maneuvers to evaluate the performance of the propulsion system and collect key data that will enable its future integration into the Magec constellation.
This validation in orbit constitutes a crucial step in reducing technological risks and accelerating the deployment of the infrastructure.
