Galaxy watch 7 drops to $195—why pay $380 for the new one?
A third-party Amazon seller just slashed the 44 mm Galaxy Watch 7 in Green to $194.99, down from $280. That is $186 lessthan the freshly launched Watch 8 and the first time Samsung’s 2024 flagship has flirted with sub-$200 territory since launch day.
The numbers that flip the upgrade logic
Same Exynos W1000 chip, same 3-in-1 BioActive sensor, same Sapphire AMOLED. The only material delta is a tweaked digital bezel and a marginally thinner case on the Watch 8—hardly worth a 95 % price premium for most wrists. Battery life is still two days with the always-on display engaged, and Body Composition, sleep apnea detection and dual-band GPS carry over untouched.
Catch? Only the Bluetooth-only, green aluminium SKU is discounted, and the merchant is TechWare Outlet, not Amazon direct. Their 94 % feedback score and Amazon’s 30-day return policy, however, keep the risk profile low.

Inventory is already flickering red
Stock trackers inside Keepa show 60 units moved in the last 24 h; the price has bounced back to $229 twice before being manually overridden. Translation: the deal resets only while pallets last, and Samsung’s own store still lists the watch at $299, giving Amazon’s marketplace a $105 arbitrage window.
Bottom line: if you want Samsung’s most complete wearable package without paying for a cosmetic refresh, the Watch 7 at $195 is the clearest value surplus in wearables this quarter. Grab it before the algorithm notices and the graph spikes again.
