Google unleashes ai-powered fitness trainer globally
Google's latest push into the world of health and wellness has gone live, with its AI-driven fitness trainer now available in 37 countries worldwide. The system, dubbed the 'Google Fitbit Trainer', uses the capabilities of its Gemini AI to guide users in their fitness journeys, offering personalized workout plans, sleep recommendations, and real-time tracking and adjustments.

Training for success
The trainer, first previewed in the US last October, is designed to work in tandem with Pixel smartwatches and the Fitbit app. It learns users' habits and goals through an initial 5-10 minute conversation, then adapts exercise routines and sleep schedules on the fly.
One of the key features is the ability to measure VO2 max, a previously exclusive metric for elite athletes. This integration with cardiovascular health data aims to provide users with a more comprehensive understanding of their overall fitness.
Available in 32 languages, the trainer is accessible to both premium and free Fitbit app users on iOS and Android. Google's move marks a significant expansion of its presence in the health Technology space, a sector expected to continue its rapid growth in the coming years.
