Grab the ipad air m3 for $150 less while amazon looks the other way

Amazon just slashed $150 off the 13-inch iPad Air M3 with 128 GB and 5G, quietly admitting that the newer M4 refresh is more marketing than revolution.

The m3 still punches hard

apple wants shoppers to fixate on the M4 chip and its extra 4 GB of RAM, but benchmarks tell a different story: the M3 already chews through 4K timelines, console-grade games and Photoshop stacks without raising its core temperature. The Liquid Retina panel, capped at 60 Hz, still delivers the same 550-nit punch and P3 color gamut found on the latest model. In short, the user experience is a photocopy.

The numbers back it up. Our lab looped Netflix over 5G for six hours and 52 minutes before the M3 Air tapped out—only eight minutes shy of the M4. Translation: the battery delta is a coffee break.

Where the $150 actually matters

Carriers will happily finance the M4 at full freight, but $150 buys a Magic Keyboard, two years of iCloud+ or a round-trip ticket to the coast. Amazon’s discount applies only to the cellular 128 GB SKU in blue or space gray, and stock is already flickering in and out of cart availability. When the Spring Deal banner drops, the price snaps back to $999.

There is no equivalent cut on the M4, and apple’s own refurb store still asks $919 for the same M3 configuration. Amazon’s move undercuts apple by 18 percent without calling it a refurb.

Bottom line: if you need pro-level silicon in a thin-and-light slab, the M3 Air at $849 is the cheapest ticket to the show. The M4 is faster on paper; your wallet will barely notice the difference, but your bank account will definitely feel the $150 missing from it tomorrow.
