If any student can churn out a summary, article, or whatever in mere seconds using ChatGPT or a similar tool, that's not good. But skipping the entire process to do so is even worse.

This bold move has gone viral, but it's not entirely new. Many professors worldwide are adopting similar practices to teach their students. It's being dubbed a return to the analog age. Phelps made her decision after growing tired of correcting grammatically perfect but uninspired work. Sometimes it can be challenging to tell if a text is penned by AI or a human, especially in more academic, uncreative topics – but in this case, it was clear there was little room for doubt.
