The rise of accidental – and intentional – peeking

While 27% immediately avert their gaze after an inadvertent glance, a concerning 7% confess to lingering out of curiosity. And what are they looking at? Almost 38% admit to peeking at personal photos, while 32% focus on the other person's face during video calls. The numbers escalate further when considering more intrusive observations: 29% have spotted private messages, 27% have seen notifications, and a startling 11% have glimpsed bank-related details. The immediacy and accessibility of personal information on smartphones has created a fertile ground for unwanted observation.

A hardware-bound advantage
Why is this Technology confined to the Galaxy S26 Ultra? The answer lies in its very nature. Samsung isn’t simply applying a software filter; it's a hardware-level innovation. The privacy display relies on the Flex Magic Pixel OLED panel, a component unique to the Ultra variant. This means a software update to other Galaxy models, like the S26 and S26 Plus, is simply not possible.
