Desktops float their parts in a cathedral of dead air. Laptops pack the same silicon into a space thinner than a champagne cork. Take them out and the machine ages in dog years
Apple, Dell, Lenovo—every service manual warns technicians to replace every scrap exactly as found. Ignore the directive and the warranty dies on the spot. More importantly, the thermals shift: fans spin 800 rpm faster, batteries cook, and the RF floor rises until the Wi-Fi stack retries itself into exhaustion.
Bottom line: that “mess” is the difference between a five-year workhorse and a sleek aluminum brick wheezing by month eighteen. Leave the tape alone; your data—and your wireless mouse—will thank you in frequencies you’ll never hear.
